Health data induction training: a new step towards innovative healthcare
22 November marks the beginning of health data induction training, which is an important step towards a more proactive and innovative health care system.
Health Tech Accelerator, together with the project partners, is organising a remote health data induction training starting on 22 November. This training is aimed at doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dentists, healthcare administrators and other healthcare professionals who want to improve their knowledge of the management and use of health data and its importance for patient care.
Healthcare professionals face increasing challenges in managing data: from data fragmentation and quality assurance to protecting patient privacy. As the volume of health information increases, it is essential to ensure that professionals not only understand the importance of data, but are also able to effectively collect, analyse and use it to make decisions that directly affect treatment results. This training provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to meet these challenges.
The participants of the training will learn about the importance of health data in the provision of healthcare services, the different sources of data, their quality assurance and interaction, as well as the legislation and ethical aspects related to data protection. Key topics on collection, management and use of health data will be analysed, including patient involvement and data transparency. Such skills are essential in today’s healthcare system to ensure better and more efficient patient care.
“The documents, forms and charts filled in by doctors and nurses are a very important source of knowledge – at the State Data Agency, we use these data on a daily basis to monitor the health of the Lithuanian population, the quality of health care services, and for research. I believe that the training will help participants to understand the importance of their work. And perhaps they will have some ideas on how to use the data themselves,” says Dr Julius Juodakis, Head of the Health Data Team at the State Data Agency.
The training is organised to fill educational gaps that often prevent healthcare workers from effectively using modern data management tools. Improved health data management can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of health services, reducing errors and improving decision-making.
“This training is essential for doctors and nurses who want to keep up with rapidly changing technologies and improve their professional skills in data management. The importance of data in healthcare and its transparency directly contributes to patient confidence and better treatment outcomes,” says Justina Klyvienė, founder of the Health Tech Accelerator.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge as well as to test theoretical concepts and best practices in practice, thus strengthening their competences in the field of health data. Each participant will receive a professional development certificate. The training is free of charge.
