Anti-corruption assessment of draft legislation

The State Data Agency carries out an anti-corruption assessment of draft legal acts in accordance with the procedure laid down in the Rules on Anti-Corruption Assessment of Draft Legal Acts, approved by Resolution No 243 of 12 March 2014 of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania “On the Approval of the Rules on Anti-corruption Assessment of Draft Legal Acts”, if the draft legal act provides for regulating public relations related to the areas referred to in Article 8(1) of the Law on Prevention of Corruption of the Republic of Lithuania. In the State Data Agency, the persons preparing legal acts are obliged to ensure that the legal act will not create conditions for corruption to occur. The anti-corruption assessment of the draft legislation shall be carried out by the Chief Specialist of the Legal Division.
