A new admissions data dashboard is being introduced to help evaluate admission opportunities
Where was it possible to enroll with exam results similar to those of applicants admitted in 2025? What minimum grades were required to study in a specific study programme? Which higher education institutions do graduates from particular schools most often apply to?
These and many other questions can be answered by the new interactive dashboard of the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania), which presents data from the 2025 general admission to first-cycle and integrated study programmes organized by the Lithuanian Higher Education Institutions Association for Joint Admission (LAMA BPO).
The dashboard provides an opportunity to analyse admission data from various perspectives: from minimum admission scores to applicants’ priorities or individual admission scenarios. It is a useful tool for school graduates, schools, and higher education institutions alike – anyone seeking to better understand admission trends and make data-driven decisions.
What can be analysed?
The dashboard presents four analysis scenarios:
Minimum grades by study programme and higher education institution
It is possible to see the minimum admission scores of applicants who were invited to study at different higher education institutions and study programmes.
Distribution of applicants by school
This shows which schools applicants come from when applying to specific study programmes and higher education institutions, allowing analysis of admission trends by educational institution.
Distribution of applications by priority order
This scenario makes it possible to assess which study programmes applicants most often chose as their first, second, or other priority.
Individual admission scenario
Users can enter their state matura exam results and 12th-grade final marks to assess which study programs applicants with similar results were admitted to in previous years.
Who is this tool for?
The dashboard is designed to meet the needs of different user groups.
For school graduates, it helps evaluate study options, compare their results with previous years’ admission data, better understand admission trends.
School administrations can use the dashboard to monitor graduates’ admission directions, analyze the proportion of admitted students, and compare admission data with their students’ achievements.
For higher education institutions, it provides an opportunity to analyze which schools applicants come from, which study programs they choose, and how their preferences are distributed.
Flexible Data Analysis
“We aimed to create a tool that would allow users not only to review general admission statistics, but also to find answers to specific questions: what results were required for a chosen study program, what the admission trends were, or how applicants’ priorities have changed”, says Kostas Gružas, one of the dashboard’s creators.
In all dashboard scenarios, data can be filtered according to selected criteria, including school, higher education institution, study program, admission stage, priority order, and funding type.
The individual admission scenario helps users model different situations based on their exam results and final grades.
Data Sources
The dashboard was developed using data from the following sources:
- Lithuanian Association of Higher Education Institutions for Organizing Joint Admission (LAMA BPO)
- National Agency for Education (NAE)
- TAMO
- “Saulės Gojus” Gymnasium
- National Education Centre (NEC)
The dashboard presents the general admission data for 2025. Only data of applicants whose state matura exam results and final grades were available to the State Data Agency are shown.
