During the visit to Croatia, insights on the creation of state data lakes were exchanged
On 9–12 April, Director General of the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) Dr Jūratė Petrauskienė and Deputy Director General Gita Literskė visited the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
Purpose of the visit was to discuss strategic issues of activity organization, change management, modernization of data lakes, statistical registers (both population and business), and other matters of particular concern.
Croatian colleagues, management and experts were presented with the changes of the State Data Agency, strategic goals, tasks and experience of assuming new functions in the state. In turn, our Croatian colleagues shared their experiences and success stories.
During the visit, particular emphasis was placed on the discussions about the development of statistical registers, directions for improvement, solutions and challenges, insights into the creation of state data lakes were exchanged. It was decided to continue our close cooperation in expert groups, providing specific topics for future meetings.
