Successfully Completed ISO 27001 Surveillance Audit at the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania)
The State Data Agency has successfully undergone its second Information Security Management System (ISMS) surveillance audit in accordance with the requirements of the international ISO 27001 standard.
During the audit, an assessment was carried out to determine whether the Agency’s Information Security Management System complies with the established requirements and effectively supports the proper management of information and data security within the organization.
The audit also evaluated the effectiveness of the system, the Agency’s ability to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, internal audit and management review processes, the assurance of business continuity for key activities, and the operation of information security procedures.
Several employees from different divisions of the State Data Agency responsible for various operational and information security areas participated in the audit.
No non-conformities were identified during the audit. The auditors provided several recommendations aimed at the further improvement of processes and the Information Security Management System.
The results confirm that information security processes at the State Data Agency are consistently monitored, evaluated, and improved. This is particularly important for the Agency, whose activities are directly related to the management of large volumes of government data and to ensuring their reliability, availability, and security.
ISO 27001 is an international information security management standard that establishes requirements for the systematic management of information security risks, the implementation of security controls, and their continual improvement.
