The heads of the statistical offices met at the annual Baltic Steering Committee meeting
On 24–26 April 2024, Dr Jūratė Petrauskienė, Director General of the State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania), Gita Literskė, Deputy Director General, and Rugilė Andrejevskytė, Acting Adviser to the Division of European Affairs and International Cooperation, participate in the annual Baltic Steering Committee meeting, which, on a rotational basis, is organized in Latvia this year.
During this event, the heads of the statistical offices present key changes that have taken place during the year in their institutions, inform about introduced innovations, and share emerging challenges in implementation of European and national strategic initiatives.
The key topics covered this year are data governance, household budget survey, and the use of artificial intelligence in statistics. At the end of the meeting, the 2024–2025 Cooperation Plan will be discussed and approved.
