Data on soil temperature and moisture, and plants growing in soil has been opened
The data collection Soil temperature and humidity and soils of the Nature Research Centre has been opened on the Lithuanian Open Data Portal.
The afore–mentioned package contains information on soil temperature and moisture in natural or semi-natural grassland communities in the territory of Lithuania since 2018, studied and described by the scientific staff of the P. B. Šivickis Nature Research Centre. Such data allow for a more accurate assessment of climate change and the effects of change on plant communities compared to the traditional data collected by meteorological stations. Soil humidity shall be calculated on the basis of the information provided here and in the section “TMS Calibr utility”.
The State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) implements the project "Integration of State Information Resources into the Data Lake", which is financed by the Economic Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan "New Generation Lithuania" and the State budget of Lithuania.
