Data on Persons Sentenced to Deprivation of Liberty and Arrest have been opened
Datasets of the Lithuanian Prison Service – Statistics on Custodial Sentences and Statistics on the Arrest of Sentenced Persons – have been opened on the Lithuanian Open Data Portal.
The Lithuanian Prison Service collects statistical data on persons sentenced to deprivation of liberty and arrest from 2021 onwards. Data are obtained from detention facilities and updated annually. The datasets include item numbers used to separate relevant data on a year-by-year basis. Item numbers can be more accurate with more numbers separated by dots. Between these data include offences, expulsion from prison nature, age groups of convicted persons. Data mentioned in the collection measured in units of convicted persons or in years, months, and in days.
The State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) implements the project "Integration of State Information Resources into the Data Lake", which is financed by the Economic Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan "New Generation Lithuania" and the State budget of Lithuania.
