Data on Persons Held in Detention Facilities have been Opened
Dataset of the Lithuanian Prison Service Statistics on Persons in Prison has been opened on the Lithuanian Open Data Portal.
The Lithuanian Prison Department (LKD) collects statistics of persons held in prison institutions since 2021, updated every month from prison institutions. The package includes the snapshot period for which the figures are relevant, the name of the prison facility, the total number of persons held in prison, the number of arrests, the total number of prison sentences, the number of open-door sentences without Priestly House, the number of semi-open-door sentences, the number of inmates on the spot, the number of closed-door sentences, the number of detainees at the scene, the total number of convicted persons in custody, the number of women, minors, foreign nationals, detained foreign nationals and sentenced foreign nationals.
The State Data Agency (Statistics Lithuania) implements the project "Integration of State Information Resources into the Data Lake", which is financed by the Economic Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan "New Generation Lithuania" and the State budget of Lithuania.
