The data set on routine inspections of non-food products contains information about scheduled inspections of non-food products and services by manufacturers, authorised representatives, importers, distributors and service providers carried out by SCRPA. The purpose of these inspections is to increase the economic well-being of consumers in the field of non-food products, to protect the health of the population and the freedom of economic activity for consumers provided in the field of non-food products and services, and to ensure the requirements of legal acts in these areas. The inspections are carried out by the SCRPA civil servants or employees working under an employment contract. The data cover the period from 2004 to the present day. Inspections of economic operators can be scheduled or non-scheduled. Scheduled inspections are carried out in accordance with the rules for the preparation and monitoring of the Authority’s market surveillance plans approved by Order of the Director of SCRPA. During the inspections, the SCRPA staff monitor, analyse and evaluate the activities of economic operators, advise and provide methodological assistance in order to identify and remedy deficiencies in the field of safety and labelling of non-food products. The data set contains the dates on which the inspection started, ended and the inspection report was issued, the type of facility inspected, the code and name registered with the Register of Legal Entities, the name of the authority initiating the inspection, the number of employees on the part of the undertaking involved in the inspection, and the number of products inspected.
