Implemented international projects
In 2024, in cooperation with EFTA, a high-level seminar for the National Statistical Institutes of the European Neighbourhood Policy East and Central Asia Countries was held in Belgrade, Serbia. Representative from the State Data Agency made a presentation on improving coordination with other producers of official statistics in a national context.
In 2024, within the framework of the IPA 2019 programme, in the State Data Agency, representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina gained experience on the organisation of the labour force survey.
In 2024, within the framework of the TAIEX instrument, in Chisinau (the Republic of Moldova), the State Data Agency participated in the high-level international workshop on modern official statistics in the European Union accession context.
In 2023, in agreement with GOPA (Germany), which implements the EU funded project the IPA 2019 Multi-Beneficiary Statistical Cooperation Programme, the State Data Agency took part in the workshop “Short-term Business Statistics: Implementation of FRIBS”.
In 2023, on the basis of Partnership Cooperation, specialists of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine were consulted on the issues concerning classifications, business register and measurement, and control of the statistical response burden.
In 2023, in cooperation with ICON-Institute (Germany), the State Data Agency was invited to share its experience on changes in Lithuanian national statistics law and obligations for private sector data owners during the high-level seminar on Modernisation of Statistical Systems for ENP-East Countries NSIs Top Management, organized in Riga.
In November 2022, the State Data Agency, in cooperation with DevStat (Spain), in the framework of the EU project for the ENP countries of Eastern and Central Asia, organised an online training “Activity and product classifications: description, use and implementation”.
In 2020–2022, participation in the Twinning project “Support to the State Statistical Committee and the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan to strengthen collection, harmonization, analysis, publishing and dissemination of business statistics” under the leadership of Statistics Finland.
In 2019-2021, participation in the project “Statistics for the Eastern partnership”.
In 2018–2022, the Regional EU project “Statistics through Eastern Partnership (STEP) programme” was implemented in cooperation with the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis), Statistics Denmark, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), under the leadership of “Expertise France”, which provided support to the statistical organisations in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine and Sakartvelo.
In 2018–2021, support for dissemination of the EU’s statistical legislation and statistical standards in the countries of Eastern Partnership and Central Asia through technical workshops, led by GOPA (Germany), was provided:
on 10–11 December 2019, in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on external trade issues;
on 2–3 July 2019, in Vilnius, Lithuania, on agricultural statistics.
In 2018–2019, participation in the project “EU support to the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SSC) to reach European standards”.
