Join this training session to learn how Ontology and Workshop work together in the Data Lake environment: Ontology defines what you have, and Workshop helps you use it for everyday decisions.

Agenda

  • Preparing data for Ontology

  • Configuring object types and actions using Ontology Manager

  • Trying out the Quiver visual tool and using it within Workshop

What are these tools?

Ontology is a highly structured data storage format and ecosystem (a different paradigm than “tables”). It enables fast record retrieval from large datasets and stores not only the data itself but also precise semantic relationships between data elements.

Ontology Manager is a Data Lake tool used to create and manage ontology elements: object types, objects, actions, and links.

Workshop is a Data Lake tool that allows users—without programming skills—to build interactive dashboards, applications, and maps; visualize data; generate automated interactive reports; and even develop new information systems or registers.
