Introduction to the Data Lake

The introductory session will explore data from Lithuania’s education sector. Participants will be introduced to:

• NŠA registry information: data on pupils, students, and teachers, study programs, diplomas, and certificates.

• Non-formal education and school administration data: NŠPR, ŠMIR, ŠVIS, NEMIS.

• Admissions processes (LAMA BPO) and data from the Kursuok! program.

• School e-diary attendance information, as well as kindergarten and school queue and application systems.

• Social and economic education indicators: salaries, teacher age structure, number of employees (based on “SoDra” data).

• Additional sources: LIBIS textbooks, Culture Pass data, Olympiad winners (ONDB), and career education (MUKIS) information.

This is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the broad education data ecosystem, which is useful for both strategic planning and everyday analytics.
