Celebration of International GIS Day at VDU Agriculture Academy

The Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy will host the celebration of International GIS Day, dedicated to high school students (grades 9–12) from across Lithuania. The event aims to introduce young people to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies, encourage interest in spatial data analysis, and demonstrate their applications in various fields.
The event will also present the Land Management and Real Estate study program, which is closely related to the application of GIS technologies.
Kostas Gružas, a GIS specialist and programmer at the State Data Agency, will share his professional experience, presenting the role of GIS in national data management and practical examples of its use.
